HISTORY

Safehaven started on 11 August 1998. There were about ten of us initially, and we met together once a month.

This continued until August 2000, when a sub-group called Safehands was formed to deal with issues of faith and sexuality. Around this time, we started weekly meetings.

Then in January 2001 two more sub-groups called Fish and Chips were set up. Platform started in February 2001.

Wineskin began in April 2001 and quickly grew and grew. Eight members from Wineskin split off to form Newwine in April 2002.
