This is the one we are currently
using. The cross, outlined by the four boxes, signifies Christ
as the center and focus of Safehaven. The straight, gay and
lesbian symbols coming together towards the center of the cross
symbolize people with different sexualities and orientations
being united by Christ. The rounded corners of the boxes represent
a safe environment a safe haven, if you will.
The green on white of the logo is soothing
and projects a safe and peaceful atmosphere. The different
shades of green symbolize the diversity in the background
and beliefs of the members in Safehaven. Viewed as a whole,
the logo depicts Safehaven as a Christ-centered fellowship
that provides a safe environment for people with different
sexual orientations, backgrounds and beliefs to discover,
learn and grow as children of God.
This is the design we used for
the front of our tee-shirt; the back shows our logo. The quote
"I set my rainbow in the clouds ..." was taken from
Gen 9:13. The rainbow is the sign of God's covenant with all
living things.
And this is the logo used for
a tee-shirt we wore during Christmas Carolling 2001. All the
logos (except the ones below) were designed by Cyrus, who, in
case you were wondering, is not a full-time designer and does
all this in his spare time after gym.
Here are some early drafts for
the Christmas Carolling 2001 tee-shirt, done by Seraphina. We
did not get around to using them, probably because none of the
singers could have been described as angelic, at least not with
a straight face. :-)
